Adoptions from Nepal:

People wishing to adopt children from Nepal may wish to view the following website:

Many private adoption agency websites (which you can peruse via websearch) say adoptions from Nepal are on hold while the Nepal government reviews its policy.

If you want to adopt children out of India

May 29th, 2008 by Stanley Scism

If you want to adopt children out of India, see http://www.adoptionindia.nic.in

I quote from the person who advised me on this:
‘CARA (Central Adoption Resources Agencies) is the organization to guide anyone on this. They are quite strict now after many cases of human trafficking reported few years back from India. International Adoption can happen only from recognized agencies. State Government have been empowered to recognize them….There are many who will say they can help but ultimately they may not be recognized putting eager parents and the child in total disappointment if legal formalities are not done correctly.’

Regarding where there are orphans to be adopted:  I know several orphanages in various Indian states and will ask them to send to me pictures of orphans, will put them on this website, with information as to which children’s home they’re in so that people can contact that children’s home.  I will ask each children’s home to provide a state-government recognized agency.  Don’t even bother to work with an agency not so recognized.

Marilyn Monroe

May 28th, 2008 by Stanley Scism

I knew that if Marilyn Monroe had lived longer, she’d have grown to look older, but this is ridiculous.

Look at this picture from 15 feet away, and you see what she looked like while living.  Then look at it from up close, and you see the potential for aging.

Prayer Request: May 25

May 25th, 2008 by Stanley Scism

Prayer Request: State assembly elections in Karnataka, SW India, left the right-wing orthodox Hindu fanatic party with 110 seats out of 224, just three short of forming a government.

Please pray that:
their efforts to maintain a majority will be defeated;
their efforts to stamp out Christian ministry in the state will likewise be defeated by the courts, which stand up for religious freedom and civilization in India;
Satanic efforts to stamp out the message of Jesus Christ will continue to be defeated as good news spreads and people come to Jesus Christ.

Prayer Request - 8th May 2008

May 8th, 2008 by Stanley Scism

Prayer Request:

Both parents of Zahluna, one of our general youth leaders in NE India, are suffering from cancer.  Imagine how you’d feel if both your parents had cancer.

Please pray for Zahluna’s parents to be healed and out of pain (Jesus is touched with the feelings of our infirmities).  Imagine the effect of a double miracle on everyone who hears about it, and how many people can come to Jesus Christ as a result!

Stanley Scism

Dear friends
It’s very sad to write to you that both my parents are suffering cancer.  My mother was declared blood cancer in the last part of January this year.  She was hospitalized twice this year.  She got treatment from the doctor up till now.  Fortunately she was slightly improving.

My father was diagnosed with stomach cancer the first week of March.  He was hospitalized three times within two months.  We took him out of the hospital on 5th May 08.  He can’t eat, can’t move by himself.  He is looking weaker and weaker.  It’s a very heavy burden for me that both of them suffer such a terrible disease at the same time.
We need your help in prayer. I know there is healing in Jesus’ Name.  I believe the people of the name Jesus’ prayer can heal their diseases.  All we have to depend on is  your prayer.  Please do pray for us!
Yours in Jesus name,

Zahluna
Aizawl.
